Name: TextFindIT
Version: 2.0
Date: 2009
Description:
Did you ever wanted to search for a specific text string inside all files in a folder…I did. And because I couldn’t, I decided to make a small application that would be able to do it.
TextFindIT can search for a text string inside the content of all files in a folder and subfolders, including non-text files.

Not Work Archive Files in (Zip or Rar) etc.

  2. @Mehmet

You’re right. Don’t really know how the compression is made and how to make it work though. Maybe the only option is to extract the files.

But I’ll take a look into it, as soon as I have the time. :)

  3. @Mehmet

    Ok…new version available.

  4. Laurie says:

Hi, tried it on some files with mixed Japanese and English text and it crashed.

Would be nice if it just skipped non-English characters instead. :)

    Thanks!

  5. I’m going to take a look into it Laurie.
    Thank you. :)

textfindit doesn’t work for me, i’m on win98se
with kernelex. & it probably wasn’t the right
    app i was looking for .. .

if you can build a little application that
doesn’t depend on framework & recursively
collects a string placed between 2 user strings
between x & y, then saves it to a *.txt file automatically,
& it isn’t too complicated, that would be very nice.

  7. Sorry roberto. Right now I’m out of time to do anything at all…with college and everything.
Besides…you can always try to upgrade to a more recent Windows version :P .
